I'm not interested in competing with myself; just sharing images that I like of what I've captured. People will prefer some images more than others and it is often surprising to me which images are preferred.

That's because eye's are like fingerprints. Everyone's is different.

These blue hour images David are simply gorgeous. I love shooting in this location during the fall and winter months because most of the foliage is disappearing and its easier to see the city skyline. Great capture!

Agree with Mike. What time of the day was this snapped? Love the Blue hour.

Thanks!!

This was captured soon after the sun was below the horizon - I got there for sunset (and it was gorgeous) and just waited till the lights in the windows of the highrises started becoming more visible. I blended a slightly underexposed frame for the sky and skyline, and a over-exposed (25 second) exposure for the the cars.

True, David. A couple of months ago, I submitted five photos to the KCSCP Current Works exhibition and two were accepted. Thing is, I included those two in my submission only because I wanted to fill out my submission to the maximum allowed. I never thought those two would get selected. Beauty is the in the eye of the beholder.

Congrats Jon. It's funny you should say that. I have posted images where I didn't quite think they were any better than adequate and they've been selected for use in online publications and calendars. You never know what people might think of your work. Congratulations on getting them selected. Have you posted them before on this thread?
