Matching indoor lights and flash in terms or colour might take a little gelling if you want auto white balance to do a better job - on any camera. Interested in the V6-ii so I can get HSS working on the AD600, good to see it working well & be interested to hear how you find it with Fuji too.

I have been reading on this for last two days. No definite answer from anyone. Elv thinks it should work if I put R2 Tx on top of Cactus V6II and then try to trigger my XPLOR600.

Regarding WB, I am with Alan, I get better WB with Canon but I always use fixed deg K. WB was my main reason of switching from Fuji jpegs to RAW. I couldn't get consistent WB in jpegs and it was harder for me to fix in post. With RAW it is easier. Maybe I need to learn how to fix WB in post tricks.

BTW - You should try the extension head with that AD600. I am loving it, may even order the 1200ws head one of these days.

From what I read the extension head looses you one stop so that gives the same power as the AD360? I have good grip equipment now so don't mind throwing up the whole unit but the 1200 head intrigues me too. I asked Catcus about triggering the AD600 they said not, but one FB user said they get it working with a cable, I don't know.

Try selective colour for fixing white balance can work well...

Interesting how different users find different experiences, shows why you can't just go with reviews when deciding on a camera ;) I also find the Fuji AWB to be much more accurate than Canon's or Sony's, I make very minor adjustments to white balance for most of my Fuji shots.

I guess I should clarify that I've seen the worst "EVER" auto white balance from my Canon 1dmk3.

Using available light the Fuji AWB does well. Shooting available light is always ridiculously simple but i hate having 1 exposure only. This is where you can have double exposure both flash exposure and ambient exposure can story tell more in a photo when light is not ideal. Using my Cactus RF60 flash units (remote flash) with my Canon system I get great results with minor tweaking of kelvin. The Fuji body goes from 5000 to 6500 kelvin all over the map indoors.

I think majority of all of the fuji owners I've spoken too have never ever used flash with their camera system or do advanced remote flash applications in run/gun situations.

I still need to do more test runs using remote flash before I adopt fuji for my events photography. Using manual flash I can run/gun reasonably fast with my current setup. If I must use HSS with my Cactus V6mk2 trigger it's kinda clunky.

1) turn on TX on my transmitter
2) With the fuji body "on" I must 1/2 press my shutter to shake hands with the trigger (camera symbol with "F" in the center)
3) I must manually set my RF60's to "HSS" and cannot rely on auto detect "HSS".

Otherwise it seems to work reasonably well for what I'd need it to do. However I'd rather still use "on shoe" Hss/ttl fuji flash $$$$$$ for fill.

Here's simple enjoyable photos I took relying on basic available light....I love the fuji render :)

The way the 10-24mm produces sunburst photos I'm not a fan. Even with f/13 it's produces a blob that I can easily produce with my Canon UWA at f/2.8. I do prefer distinct blades produced by the aperture blades in the lens with my Canon 16-35 f/2.8mK2. My 16-35 f/4IS that I sold produced extremely distinct sunrays but it was incredibly difficult to focus with the sun entering the lens. I must still test my Fuji 10-24mm with the new fuji flash.......

I'm going to miss this pool... my mom moved into this house temporarily while looking for a house and job down in the Carolinas. I think she almost doesn't want to move down there anymore

Yeah I can understand that. We're installing a pool beginning next year, plans are drawn and we're waiting for the contractor to begin. Even though I don't live in a very warm country (Belgium) we decided to make the investment mainly for our daughters (6yrs and 12yrs old). A very large investment but IF there's a warm day, I'm sure we'll enjoy it immensely. It's of course a heated pool :)

At a Bird sanctuary I was equipped with my X-T10, X-E2 and Canon 80D. I didn't even touch my 80D.

I've never been at a bird sanctuary -2 degrees. The birds were hungry!!

Nice shots there Alan. I especially like the Eagles. We've got a few of them in my neighborhood. The crows go bat crazy with them around.

Windpig,

I still find my Canon 16-35L produces much more appealing sunburst than the fuji 10-24mm. However I still like how the fuji IQ renders "my world" :)
