As David says, what horrible memories. Lynn Elliott still to this day causes nightmares in KC. 15 year STH here, so you've got me beat Mike. I do get pretty tired of the drive every weekend back and forth to Omaha when they have multiple home games in a row though I'll sure tell you that.

The all day Sunday affairs have me pretty done in as well. I think I'm nearing the end so I hope they hurry up and bring home a title.

Love the lights, but just not the same with Western Auto dark! :-(

Very alarming. Why is the Western Auto sign not lit? Is there a story here? Beautiful picture by the way.

From my understanding the building is now housed by an apartment complex who doesn't want to fix the sign that has repairs needed. Again this is just a rumor that I've heard from other photographers. I do miss it as well.

Oh my! This is a tragedy. Is there a bigger Kansas City landmark or icon? Terrible terrible news.

Enjoyed my 2+ week KC visit, but am traveling back to Georgia tomorrow. Weird conflicted feeling: I truly enjoy winter time here in KC - especially when it snows on a weekend - but have to admit I'm looking forward to getting back to the warmer temperatures. Still got a ton of KC photos to work through when I get back home though. Last one for a couple days........

Nice work David. Safe travels. Where in Georgia? Atlanta? How do you find Atlanta? Are there good shooting locations such as our Plaza? Or the downtown scene? I've flown through and passed through on a motorcycle but never really stopped.

Thanks Darrell. I live in West Point, on the AL border and is about 75 mile SW of Atlanta along I-85.

I haven't found anything like the Plaza in Atlanta and the fact is I've not done much shooting there at all - just once all last year. Instead I like to travel to smaller towns around GA and AL.

Columbus, just 40 miles south of my house, is the second largest GA city and has a lot of cool photography opportunities, including an engineered white water rapids on the Chattahoochee River right downtown (lots of rafting and kayaking there most of the year).

I would like to wish you safe travels as well David. The next time your up here and if you have some time I would love to possibly do a photo walk with you. Your photography work is really a treasure. I'm glad you have several images stored away to work on so you can keep posting in this thread. Take care down there and Merry Christmas.

Yours turned out really terrific. Love it.

Thanks so much for the kind words and wishes. Next time I'm in KC I'm hoping it won't be so hectic...and it would be fun to go shooting together. :)

Count me in guys! Starting to get my legs back under me and shooting again.

David, which Zeiss lens would you recommend for a canon mount.

Thanks
