Just trying to tinker with b&w a bit...I've got a long way to go...

This is very nice. Lots of detail in the shadows but the sky is still really interesting. Reminds me of my small hometown USA.

I'm always open for CC. :-)
Maybe I'm using the black borders too much?
I dropped the rez down to 800px in the Flickr link to keep the images from scrolling off of my monitor...ok?
Tnx! Ed

Your photos show that you have a really good eye so I think you should trust your own instinct as far as how you present your images, border or no.

That being said, the wide black border has sort of become the mark of the intranet "motivational poster" meme, so just keep in mind you are publishing to an audience who may have expectations of seeing some amusing text below the photo.

Thanks for the feedback. Some positive reinforcement is always appreciated. What you said about the black border has been on my mind. I'd rather not enter the realm of the meme so I may back off of the black border usage unless I decide I want to frame a non-standard sized image. I appreciate your thoughts.

I think the black borders work very well on the last two photos, maybe not so much on the others...
