I had a life long friend ask me the other day if I did photo restoration. I said I'd be glad to look at them for him. He sent me 4 pictures of his grandfather, who was a jockey.......the pictures were heavily water damaged and when I first got them I immediately thought two of them were beyond hope as there were parts missing or so heavily molded I had little to nothing to go on.

So I just started kind of picking at these two and over the course of several days I ended up with some fairly decent results. I'm pleased with them and I think he will be too. Thought you all might like to see....

Your restoration is quite amazing...I would add a little more muzzle on the horse in first photo ...his nose doesn't seem natural.
Other than that...both restorations are superbly done!:-)

Thank you very much.

Yea....as you can see by the 'before' picture I didn't have a heck of a lot to go on.

Yes!...I was quite amazed at what you pulled out of nothing-even the man sitting on the horse where did he come from? I didn't see anything but his leg in the original...did you have any other photos to pull him from?

Again -really great edit!:-)

I did have another. I took just his top half from another. I was originally given 4 to reconstruct. Fortunately I was able to use some from one to repair another. One of them though I had to use some horses from some pictures that I had shot at a racetrack near me.

Pic is a Self Portrait that I took of myself. Lots of different texture layers that I combined, I overlaid my hands to my face, edited eyes, texture, blemishes, and replaced the back ground. Original photograph was shot with Canon 6D with 100mm 2.8L lens.
