My first (and so favourite) Water Rail shot. Got some more shots at the weekend, always struck by how small, skulky and FAST, these little chaps are.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

From last week's big snow storm. Rare I see these, and even more rare when not on the ground; but with 8 inches of snow
I can understand why he was limb hopping-

The house sparrow in my yard thats leucistic is WAY more skiddish then all the other birds combined, pretty sure it knows.

The goldfinch that came, not so much. It hung out the same as all the others.

The Chickadee in my yard is the friendliest little guy, if he see's me out there in the morning he comes over and lands on me. He's a bit like a dog. Notice the lack of feather around the eye. while sitting on your hand you can see there is nothing but greenish coloured skin.

A99ii and Minolta AF400/4.5 + 1.4X TC

Goldeneye from this past Friday in one of their classic poses. The frame is a little dark... but its different, and I decided I like it.

560mm, F7.1. Cropped a bit.
