Thanks Ed, that helped. On my monitor during the day it looks too dark, at night just dim and the rainbow stands out. The photo was taken at my local beach (Milford Auckland NZ), storm coming in, sun due to set behind me, but the clouds were partially lit up and the rainbow quite clear. That night we had a very violent storm, high winds and lots of rain, the house next door had a timber and glass porch blown off. When you arrive, give me a yell and I will take you right down! :)

I love a good storm as long as everyone's safe and no property damage... :)

Thanks, I'll definitely look you up the next time I'm down there...beautiful country on both the north and south islands.

Ed

Nice shot, Nick. This image imparts a sense of deep thoughts from a young lady,... storm clouds on the horizon, alone at the seaside, staring into the distance, appears to be at ease and comfortable in her surroundings. Shallow DOF isolates the young girl directing the viewers attention to her but yet the image still gives the viewer plenty of information to acquire a sense of the environment that she is in. Pretty young lady, too...but, I'm a bit biased in that I have three young granddaughters. :-)

Here's one of my favorite shots from Ukraine, this is a cathedral right outside the main train station in Odessa. I arrived there at 7am by overnight train, and saw this and had to shoot it. Wasted no time!

Haha don't worry I'll probably start using my 6D again more once the new factor of the M5 wears off. It's got me really excited for the 6D2 though, Dual Pixel AF is no joke and makes me feel like the 6D's AF is really lacking...
