I was thinking the same thing. How did you get the camera and lens in?

Crystal Gale was being inducted as a member of the Opry by her sister, Loretta Lynn. They let you take pictures, just no video. But there were people doing video on their phones.

I'm hoping I can "get by" with only using my 17-50mm lens in June when I'm snapping away from the 2nd row!

What do you have your max ISO set to? Ill let the camera go to 3200

6400 (that's the factory default, I think). I hardly ever use 6400, though - should probably also set it to 3200. Still have take the time to mess more with the camera settings...

Sun raise reflect on the beach. I take under exposure then adjust the dark zone a bit bright.

Something different... Hand-held 1/10 sec. I was seeing how the 80D would perform at ISO 1250.

For someone who's never done it before, what's the easiest way to calibrate focus for lenses on the 80D? Like "For Dummies" level of simplicity -- if that exists!

Still with the no Group C control.

I just sat down to read through the manual for my new 80D. Lots of new stuff I can't wait to try out. And one thing that just smokes my goat. Canon put Group C control on the 7D - ALMOST 8 YEARS AGO! Not the 60D, or 70D, and now apparently not the 80D. They bothered to update the commander mode to handle new Canon radio-controlled flash units, but you have to buy a 7DII to get this ancient technology.

Not too big a deal because I own 2 580EX II units and a YN-622TX controller.

Pet peeve. Rant complete. Carry on.

Well, the Flash Commander for the xxDs is sort of like training wheels on a kid's bike. Enough capability to get you started in the wonderful world of Off Camera Flash. Once you get your feet wet, you will probably invest in triggers, softboxes, grids, more flashes, backgrounds, Alien Bees, more lenses... you get my drift...

I started trying my 430 EXII OCF to replicate a photo from the flash's manual... I am just past the softbox (singular)...
