A little water fording. Love the expression on my daughter's face. This one was actually taken by a good friend of mine.

I just picked up a new 2016 Wrangler Sport.. The dealer was clearing out last year's new unsold stock so I got a deal on it. No fancy stuff. It's bone stock.

Thanks texaskev. It sits behind my house literally in the bushes. Old Jeep '79 "Eagle" (might be an '81...had the jeep and an MGB at the same time and forever was getting the years mixed up). 4-cylinder, flat-dash, basic. One day I may put another engine in it...or let my SIL have it and put an engine in it. It's had a hard top and doors on it for years so the interior is pretty good shape. Got the rust at the weldpoint along the rocker panel and a small dent in one of the front fenders (soft tennis ball looking depression). I claim the good body condition on it having the 4cyl engine in it...the straight six would have probably had it ragged out. It was used well back in a younger, more adventurous time of my life. ;)

The day I shot this image I was walking around the property just looking for something to shoot. The sun was laying low in the late afternoon sky and coming through the bushes. Dang, everytime I look at the image I get a big pang of nostalgia...I really don't need to be putting an engine in that jeep, but...who knows. :-)
