Thanks Robert. We're having an earlier season. Unfortunately, the big oak tree roots are being damaged by the gators. The crew has put up a wooden fence to wall it off and will be taken down some smaller trees. The birds are getting spooked so I have little time to shoot.

Oh well..

I am going to try to make it up to that place this spring. Seems to be a must-see place.

Thanks! Panning for me is still 100% blind luck. I just keep shooting until the action stops and then celebrate if I can find something usable in the mass of files afterewards. :p

Yeah, me too.

Tell the work crews to hold off until after end of March. Poof and I will be swinging through St. Augustine area sometime between March 28 and March 29.
I wonder if any big pink birds will be left then ???
Even if not still a great place to visit.

If that's the case, then perhaps a small meetup would be in order. Unfortunately, I'm slated to move up north before then, but depending on circumstances I might still be in the area. The birds are nearly always around, but the good seafood and cocktails (if one is so inclined) are a guarantee!

Meetup at the Alligator Farm, that would be very cool.
Poof and I met Charlie there last year, if everyone is like him we'd be blessed :)

I'll be looking for you Robert. I work PT but make it to Alligator Farm about 5 times per week. The workers should have most of their work done shortly. Really enjoyed meeting both Poof and you last year.

You're the best...

Two (c) Macaws from the parrot display at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Love their attitudes.

Stay warm..

Found an African Cape Vulture and a Marabou Stork this morning at the Alligator Farm. Felt the chill along with the birds.

Stay warm..
