red breasted are not common in my area, but there have been a few sighting this year. I saw my first ones ever last october but failed to get good photos.

I was putting away laundry this morning, looking at my window and i saw a nuthatch on the suet, normal. Then i saw it was striped head, and tiny, then the flash of orange..OMG!!!! Ran and grabbed the camera, turned it on and it was gone......i scanned the tree and then i saw it. Fired away, completely unaware of my cameras settings through my bedroom window. Its not the best but im super happy with it, this will be so far this years best yard bird.

A foolproof method for sculpting an elephant: first, get a huge block of marble, then you chip away everything that doesn't look like an elephant.

First time I've seen these lovelies, a bit far away, I'm going back tomorrow.

We drove to a new area about 3 hours away. Just to get out of the house and explore. The area is called Yuci
it is just looks ripe for hawks. Sadly not one hawk would pose for me though throughout the whole day we counted
7 either close or far. So only thing to bring home is this hawk wannabe-
