Hmm, the "purple tint" returned this morning when I woke the monitor up. I turned the monitor off, waited a second, and turned it back on....no more purple tint. I'm just about to punch the envelope on the "30 day return" with B&H.

Would the purple tint being corrected by simply rebooting the monitor point more toward a hardware problem with the monitor or a computer/system/OS problem? Thoughts, anyone? I'm like, just two or three days away from the return window. -?

Thanks!
Ed

Dell has a setting on many of their PC's that dim the display after an adjustable period of time. You can of course also set a time before the PC enters standby. Both can be found at Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings.

I wonder if the interaction of these could be an issue? Perhaps set "dim the display" to never and see what happens.
