From a folder of outtakes--those that didn't make the first cut to post up. And found in a lost folder.
I bet I'm like many, go somewhere; come home with several thousand images-then promptly loose them!

Both awesome.
p.s. I haven't heard back from the camera repair place in Mass. for over 2 weeks now :( That's where I sent the Minolta 400.

This post is documentary more than anything. I took my wife to watch the sandhill cranes come to roost on the Katy Prairie (external link) yesterday evening. Thousands come into the area to feed and then roost. They are here for maybe a couple more weeks before heading north. This is very near dark.

I was out in the cold sunshine today when something caught my eye - I thought "Its not a gull - wing span to wide" but I decided to follow it with the cam and get a few long distance shots.

A while afterwards it was joined by two others soaring around at high level.

I was privaledged as they where three cormorants:-)

Five pictures in all folks hope you dont mind.
