Does anybody know where I might be able to find a parts catalog for a Canon EF 135mm f/2 L ? I have checked all of the parts threads on this forum and nobody seems to have posted it anywhere.

I dropped my lens and it landed on the lens mount. The metal mount ring is now bent. I've tried calling Canon parts and services and they are less than helpful. They can't seem to figure out which mount I need and I can't stomach buying one and perhaps wasting the money, so I want to know for sure.

Thanks for the help!

You spoke with the wrong Canon guy. Call again and ask them explicitly how much they will charge to replace the lens mount (I assume it's only the mount, you better be sure about that).

I'm not entirely sure Canon sells the EF mount to replace it yourself. I have always had my lenses serviced by a Canon repair facility. But just to ease any concerns, I dropped my 70-200 F4L IS and put a huge crack in the body near the mount, and the entire mount was all jacked. I sent it to the Canon Facility in New Jersey and it was very reasonable to fix it - can't remember the exact cost but around 200 or lower sounds about right, in my mind.

I don't want them to replace it. The part costs roughly $30. The installation costs $100. I can screw the new mount onto my camera for less than $100, I'm just trying to get the part. They say they'll sell it to me but apparently this lens has shipped with different mounts over the years and they don't know which one I have. Apparently it can be measured, but the differences in their thicknesses is supposedly tenths of millimeters.

The mount is bent just enough that I can't get it to attach to the camera.

The description sounds right but I'm not sure it looks right: http://procamerarepair.3dcartstores.com ...-YA2-2665-000_p_5931.html (external link)

You can check around the site for the right part.

Also try searching http://dannycamera.com/ (external link) and http://www.uscamera.com/canon_lens_parts.htm (external link)
