I was testing my debayered 60d today and wondered if any black and white architectural photographers knew of or are already using a debayered sensor? My modification was done by Brent Oliver at hypercam and mods for astrophotography purposes, but it seems to perform very well for terrestrial monochrome purposes. Having an 18mp uninterpolated image gives outstanding resolution. You do loose your microlens layer and you also have to crop about 12 pixels off of the edges due to left over CFA.

Here is a test image from earlier. I had to use a special program to save the un interpolated raw file, pixinsight, then I opened in PS to adjust levels because the pure raw file was very dark.

Settings were 1/8000 s exposure iso 100 and lens Leica Summicron 50mm stopped to F5.6

Not using de-bayered, just never had a Beyer filter fitted in the first place :)

Leica MM. Wonderful pice of kit :) Tonality of the images is exceptional. Nice you were using a Leica lens for your shot
