The angle of view makes a huge difference to this colours. When looking into the sun there was a lot of scattered blue light.

Very nice, Martin. Is there a smudge dead center in both photos?

HA! Looks like someone has finger prints on the lens and didn't check before shooting!

You may be right (not visible to old eyes -?) There was certainly flare in the first one which I clone-stamped out.

Old Boats again. I was not happy with my last post (Photomatix + lots of PP) so I went back to the drawing board. This time I did a lot of per-processing and a lot less post-processing. I also used my favoured HDR app - SNS-HDR 2.

Hopefully there is no smudge this time!

I like these much better! It looks like the smudge on the first set was the sun hitting something on your lens which shows up in the first shot on the new set as a light spot on the water edge and hull in the second. You should be able to eliminate it out pretty easily in post. Also, there's something going on in the sky in the first one. I'm seeing two slight dark area's on the horizon. But both of these comments are a bit nit picky. Overall, very much improved!

Many thanks for your complimentary comments.

I wish I could see the odd patches that you mention. Low vision is the bane of my life but I don't let it stop me taking and processing photos :-)
