I second Tom's recommendation. A used 7D Mark II, along with a sigma 150-600mm would be a good combo for wildlife and should be under your $2000 budget.

Thanks everyone so much for all the help.

I think I will be buying the 80D body with the 18-135MM USM lens as a everyday use lens. Plus a good wide angle lens for milkyway pictures.

Not sure what to do about wildlife yet. I want to photograph a lot of cool animals, but hopefully they will be close enough for now :D I am living in the jungle after all.

If there is any good wildlife lens you recommend Tom, but perhaps a bit cheaper price. I wouldn't mind a suggestion!

Okay so here is my package so far.

80D
18-135mm usm for everyday use.
Tokina 11-16mm for milkyway.
Vello Freewave Plus Wireless remote.
Should I get the 55-250mm as like an "entry" lvl from wildlife? For better zoom than the 135? Or should I just wait and safe for the sigma?

You should be able to get 80d, 18-135, 11-16, and 150-600 for close to $2500...may have to wait for deals, but I'd say it's doable, especially if willing to buy used

Hey DreDaze,

I have to buy from b&h as they are the only one shipping to Mexico.
Not sure if they have used ones(?)

I just noticed the remote that I wanted is not compatible with the 80D.

Can anyone recommend a remote that I can use that would be great for continuous shooting? So I can just set the camera to shoot milkyway pictures for some hours. Also a remote for me to be able to take a picture on distance.

What I have right now is

80D
18-135 mm usm
11-16mm
Good camera backpack
some cleaning products and protecive produts.

It is $2300 dollars.

I have to use b&h so have to be the prices they do.

Look for a Intervalometer. That should fit your needs.

Amazon.mx is really expensive and US amazon won't ship the products I want to Mexico.
Ebay will only use USPS which is a no no to mexico because it will take 2 months for something to arrive.

What does your current kit consist of again? If you've already got something in the walk around range, just buy 80d body only $1,100...150-600c $1,000...find a used 11-16mm first generation for $400

I have the 7d2, Canon 18-135 STM, Sigma 150-600 and Tokina 11-16 all bought on the recommendation of members of this forum, and am very happy with all of them. Once the new Sigma 24-70 Art is released I'll probably upgrade my 18-135 but until then it works great on my 7D2 and my M3, and the 150-600 really is an amazing lens for the price!

Yeah I found the 80D body for 1100.

But the thing is that I will be taking a lot more pictures than wildlife. Probably more everyday pictures than wildlife to begin with.

Right now the kit is

80D+18-135mm usm for $1450
11-16mm for €450
backpack as I am traveling
cleaing kit and protection.

how does that add up to $2,300...i still say look on ebay....especially if you want to save money on the 11-16mm
