Nice move on the extra body, it really makes a big difference. Throw the 100-400 on one body, and a wide prime on the other. Nothing you can't shoot.

Yeah, that's the plan. Paid $995 for a 7D2 with less than 7000 clicks on it. I'll have the 100-400 II on one body and the 500/4 II on the other while birding. I do have a 6D for regular use.

I also renewed my gym subscription and stepped up my shoulder and traps workouts! :D

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Just read Glenn Bartley's review of the 5Div, the 7Dii still shines :)

In my crop/FF setup, I use the 100-400 on my 5D4, and the 80D gets the 400 DO w/ extenders. To me, it's similar to using a 16-35 and 135 prime. I've been shooting nothing but birds for the past few months, and mounting anything wider than 100mm feels absolutley wide angle :p

I've had quite a break from buying stuff probably because I'm still paying for my C100MKII. Been using the piss out of what I have already. But some things that I will get -

- seems impossible to find a grid for my 12x48 softbox.
- thrashing this old 5DII, but it still keeps going.

Ok I remember my last purchase was a BlackRapid dual camera strap. Killer, should have had one years ago.

Bringing this thread back because it makes me feel better about spending money on new gear.

Last Purchase: Canon EOS 80D and 18-55mm kit from Canon Refurbished, was my first refurbished purchase but I doubt it will be my last.

Next Purchase: Probably a battery grip for the 80D, although I've been eyeing the Sigma 18-35 Art to go with my 50-100.

I have the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 Art - it's super sharp and goes on my camera any time I'm shooting family holidays or other events where I'm trying to capture quality candid photos quickly. It's an APS-C only lens, but if you're happy with the crop sensor bodies you can save some weight and money with this lens.

Last: Sony a9, 85mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.8 (not the best reputation for $250, but got it used from B&H for $109)
Next: Sony 24-70 f/2.8 GM and rebuying one of my favorite camera bags, the Mindshift Panorama. Sold it when I downsized to smaller mirror less, need it again now that my mirrorless lens are similar size to my older D810 that I used to shoot.

Last purchase was a 16-35 F4. Not sure about next one. I'll wait to see the reviews for the 6D Mark II. I'm not an early adopter, so I'll probably wait for a year for the prices to drop before looking into a new body.
