The Mandarin Duck must be one of the most colourful birds. How can you not take loads of pictures of such a beautiful elegant photogenic bird. This is the male, the female is just a mottled brown in colour, beautiful also in it's own right.

^ the Mandarins are just outstanding. Such amazing colors. Sadly I've never seen one so loving your captures!

Now of all the birds in the world this little guy is my favorite, simply because he's smart enough to know I have the food and doesn't
freak out and fly away.
