Another beauty Ed. I'm heading down that way next month, any tips on where I might find some Snail Kites? It would be great to meet you while I'm down that way.

Thanks, Steve, this was somewhere on Lake Kissimmee (not sure where!). I had a guide take me out to find them. PM me if you want more info. If you are headed to South Florida please let me know. There are some good local spots but the Snail Kites are hard to find. I saw one once but it was a water district impoundment that you can only get into with a local chapter Audubon tour.

Got these at Disney's Animal Kingdom. They were "from the hip" shots as I wasn't expecting them to fly at us. Actually, I've never seen birds just flying out in the open like this before at the park. Guess they are trained to stick around.

Is a boat a "must have" for Toho, or are there areas where you can get them from shore?
