A couple from tonight....

The first one in particular I'm really pleased with, as the train appeared just as I came up a set of stairs onto the platform. I barely had time to put the tripod down (camera was already mounted on it). I didn't have time to decide how to position the camera, compose the shot, change any settings, or focus the lens. Literally just put it down and pressed the shutter button. Already had the camera set to bracket 7 shots (-4 to +4). Of the 7 shots, two were usable and I combined them to make up the final shot.

Well, I just bought one with 34k clicks. Here's my first contribution as I couldn't be bothered looking for a duck!

I actually had a quick look today to see what the price of a new one was as mine is well into it's second shutter unit, couldn't find one so I am presuming the next step is the mk2.

My racing season starts this weekend so the 5DIII will go away and the 1DX will get another thrashing, really do love it.

Really nice shot Annie, saw a few very 'new' lambs on our fleeting visit through Wales last weekend, there is something about them that just makes you smile ;-)a

Thanks, David. The real lambing doesn't start here for a couple of weeks - this was an early one as a ram escaped one day! I'll be using the camera mostly for sports (I sold a 1D4) but from the limited use I've had of it, it's much improved from the 1D4 and seems like a souped-up 5D3. It's got a few more bells and whistles but the menus are very familiar. I really wanted it for the 12 fps and the weatherproofing.

Yes, they are Cheviots. We the people prefer Blackfaces but the farmer prefers Cheviots :-(
