Hi guys

I once bought a 35 F2 IS, sold it, bought a 35L, sold it and today I bought a 35L again and this one's staying lol. Really like the 22 F2 on my M and I wanted this focal length on my FF body.

How is the focus on your 35L's?

Focus is awesome. Tracks well, super accurate. I really like it.

I ended up switching my 35mm IS for a 35L as well. The focusing speed on the L seems to be as quick as the IS, but my copy hunts a bit in low light.

I really enjoyed the sharpness and resolving power of the 35 IS, and there are times when I miss having its more compact profile than the L lens. That being said, I prefer the character of the images that the L produces, even if they aren't as sharp technically overall.

Exactly, the L just has a magical look to it. Just like the 135. I think it still looks better than the II version!

Second day of owning the 35L (again). Just a quick snapshot of my son playing a Lego computer game to check for any focus or sharpness issues. I think it performs well.

This is a SOOC jpeg by the way.
