When the trade winds shift and VOG rolls over from the big island, the results are this!

Thank you, Randy!

...from Wikipedia...Vog is a form of air pollution that results when sulfur dioxide and other gases and particles emitted by an erupting volcano react with oxygen and moisture in the presence of sunlight. The word is a portmanteau of the words "volcanic", "smog", and "fog".

Second one is great, first one makes me feel like im about to fall off a tower, the lean to it destroys it, in my opinion.

Agreed. I was shooting Petronas from the second tower and my 24-105 wasn't wide enough hence the tilt. But the sky was so beautiful I went ahead and shot this nose bleeder.

The sky looks terrific! Maybe try taking three or four shots by panning the camera and then stitching the photos to create a landscape.

Blew the dust off my old 450d the other day and decided to try out the cheap filters I got off amazon, I've never really felt that drawn to landscapes before as I used to hate shooting with a tripod but for some reason I'm feeling inspired to give it a go and learn as much as I can. I guess that's the great thing about photography, if you get bored of one area you an just take a break and look for some other area for inspiration. It's Not the best photo in the world I know but it's my starting point.
