At top left, click on "-No Notifications-", then at top right click on "Clear All"

Doing that doesn't clear the "go to first unread"... that would clear any notifications of threads you followed that had activity since the last visit. Didn't clear those for me anyways...

I also just now cleared all, for the very first time, and I am also still seeing "go to first unread"

Went back and cleared all again, no change....

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

It is a feature Pekka created to make it very easy for you to jump right back to the last point you were when reading that thread. I am not sure if there is a way to clear everything out. Is it causing you major grief to see these? I use that to know which threads I have read in the past, and if I am curious about the progression of that thread, I can click that to jump right back in.

I can't understand anyone not wanting that feature.

Go to New Posts. At the bottom of the page you will see MARK ALL FORUMS READ. Click that and enjoy the empty space... :-P

You're right, it also respawns the message for the not followed threads!

To be honest, I don't get that function. I mean it makes sense for followed threads, knowing where you left off, but why would I care to know that for threads I'm clearly not interested in (or else I would follow them)?

I would use the followed feature more, but to unfollow, it is a bit too tedious. One click to follow, but 2 clicks and a refresh on the thread to not follow. I now use the "new posts" and look for the "unseen" links for those I was reading prior, using a visual sweep.
