Edit: Prefer this split tone version since the original had some distracting background color.

Really like these!

From Point Arena Lighthouse last Saturday night. I think this was 8 images with the SR app. No doubt the highlight image of the trip for me.

Did you use the Canon flash in EXT M mode and set the F-stop and ISO?

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

It's comforting to see that my computer desk is not the only one that's cluttered.

Fascinating spider and I love the color grading. What f-stop did you use for these shots? I don't see it listed here or on your host site either.

I think I'm going to order it. With coupon off of another website, it comes out to slightly less than $200, with free shipping and free returns. I'll give it a shot and see how it is. Any issues with the straps loosening itself joon? Reading some reviews, it seems like the most common complaints are the latches getting scratched up (not a big deal for me) but also that the straps seems to loosen themselves.

I'm guessing you either:
- had it in Manual mode (yes it fires and works perfectly)
- had it in ETTL (yes it fires but fires at full power) and possibly this just happened to be good exposure
- had it in EXT A. (yes it fires, not sure what exactly it is doing because it can't grab aperture and ISO data - I actually think it is almost doing a 1/128 or pre-flash level of flash)
- had it in EXT M. (fires, and works perfectly)

Also pretty sure FEC, set in the camera, has zero effect in any mode

Thank you Gene. I believe it was f11 which is thin DoF for macro. That's the downside to using older manual lenses. No EXIF data.
