Here's a couple from this last weekend, I have several more to process:

D600 (full spectrum modified) with Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 lens on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Tracking Mount:

Did you "light paint" the mountains? If not why are the ones on the left so bright and the one on the right so dark? Very interesting photo!

Yes, the ones on the left were illuminated with stationary 96-led light panels, 2 were to the left of frame about 40 feet and 2 are at the base of the outcroppings about 10 feet away. The one outcropping on the right is back from the road a good 40-50 feet and I didn't have an extra panel to illuminate it.

Another photo with a working lighthouse and the milkyway. The bright light on the left is the lighthouse. Photo credit to my friend Randy Scott.

Finally got out to shoot the MW. I added a light to the inside of the building and pointed it out the window.

My rather uninteresting attempt at an 8 image stack. I live in Orange County, so the closest location with the least amount of light pollution is near Camp Pendleton. I'm practicing my technique to get ready for some July and August trips to the desert.

The light dome on the bottom left is San Diego.

I live in Orange and work in Costa Mesa. The exact location where I took that shot is the Las Flores Vista Point. It is that lookout spot just after the CHP checkpoint south of San Onofre. I think it is the darkest sky with an ocean view in Southern California.

Laguna Beach is good too. I'm hoping to get back out to Joshua Tree etc more this year.
