The Planes of Fame Air Show - one of the top 5 air shows in the United States, has a lawsuit against it that tries to stop the show.
If the lawsuit is successful it would end one of the best warbird air shows in the country.

Surprising, the lawsuit is brought by other aviation entities. Read more here...

Thanks for sharing.

As much as I enjoy this show and support POF, I do have sympathy for the impacted airport businesses...

The lawsuit “alleges that the Air Show physically blocks and obstructs various airport businesses from operating by erecting fences and other barriers that keep would-be customers from accessing their businesses, creating huge traffic jams that keep customers away and by shutting down the air space, which grounds flight schools and other businesses not affiliated with the show,” according to a news release.
The lawsuit alleges that even though the event lasts two days, the setup and takedown extend the event’s impact to an entire week.

But if this lawsuit is successful in blocking the POF show, I wonder if we'll see more of these types of lawsuits for other air shows.

I have only just seen this, one comment on the linked story I have is where did they get the "File" image from? Not only very under exposed, but drastic prop freeze too :).

Good news...the air show will go on...well, for now.

But the plaintiffs (airport tenants) still plan on preventing future Planes of Fame air shows.

Instead of a lawsuit, cool heads and compromise is needed.

Here's a couple from POF 2015...
