Retirement day of the Greek RF-4Es after 39 years of service and the end of 348 TRS after 64. A beautiful but also sad event in Larisa 110CW in central Greece. One plane had a farewell livery, one the special colours for the 60 years of the squadron in 2013 and the third the original vietnam camouflage

Beautiful Phantom. Great shots

Thank you ! The modernized F-4E AUP will serve for 3-4 more years, so we will still have the joy to admire them

These are great! I love the Corsair!

Thank you. It was great to see five of these in the sky.

how did the weather hold up? did it rain out there?

I was there on Saturday. the weather held up well. No rain to speak of. I heard that the rain came during the heritage flight at the end of the show on Sunday. I was at the Railroad Days event in Fullerton on Sunday. Saturday's show was a lot of fun to watch and photograph.

OOoooo. Did the F-35 have a demo session? I was under the impression it was only there for static display and then Heritage Flight, or at least that's what the website schedule made it sound like that's all there was to the F-35.

Good job on thinking outside the box, even if a bit over processed for my taste (I notice some haloing).

Good one! That reminded me of this one of a Me-109.

To continue the theme....

I took this last year at the Wings of Freedom tour when they stopped at the local air museum. Their B-17 Nine-O-Nine is in the foreground.

Excellent pictures you have.
Just out of curiosity, why does the one F-16 look blue? Is it reflecting the sky?

You know, I spotted that too and I think I've figured out the answer. Notice that the same F-16's tail is bright white. So I think what happened was the right-most F16's shadow was being cast over this plane right when I tripped the shutter. As to why the shadow might be blue -- open shade against white is often a pronounced blue color.
