Phase One just introduced a true B&W camera. As far as I know, Leica is the only other true monochrome camera in production.

Interesting.

Though there are lots of monochrome cameras out there, just not in the form of a walk around consumer "slr" style body. My main imaging camera is mono sony CMOS sensor (IMX174).... but requires a computer to even operate.

I would love to have another mono camera in walk around form though... but the leica M and the Phase One are too pricey for me :(

Very best,

Personally, I'm waiting for Fuji to put one out. I think that would fill a niche and sell quite well.

Everyone who dreams of the Leica Monochrome could get a Fuji Monochrome :).

I could definitely get along with a small Fuji with a monochrome sensor, that would be great. The cost savings would be in the several thousands, lol.

Very best,
