Rule change suggestion.

With the increased capability of cameras and monitors since these G-series challenges started, the "size rule" was changed several times permit larger images, and now it's maybe time to increase yet again. I suggest going up to the POTN max of 1280 pixels - we are already getting the occasional entry this size that hasn't been disqualified.

I suggest: 3. Size -- photo must be no less than 800 pixels and no more than 1280 pixels on the longest side, with NO BORDERS.

Rule changes are done by consensus, so please post your input on the existing rule discussion thread.

Congrats Teekay, Car and Jim! I had that IR B&W as winner as soon as I saw it. It has a very Ansel Adams vibe to it. But I did love all the other shots too. I really liked Maureen's corn shot.

Mine is an archive shot of the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, Ireland. We visited there on an absolutely gorgeous day. 700 foot cliffs dropping to a blue Atlantic is a jawdropping sight. I'm sure Maureen recognized it. We haven't heard from Marie lately but I know she would recognize it as well.

Thanks for choosing a topic and judging Cory! I love a good open-ended challenge, it brings out some great stuff.

Steve

I support this rule change. The G5X is 20.1MP :-)

Jim -- I keep the G5X in the Glove Box just in case!

New challenge now posted.

Since everybody so far approves increasing the max. size, I've taken the liberty of changing the rule for this new challenge, but the discussion is still open if anyone disagrees. Click this sentence for "Discussion of Rules" thread.

Congratulations to Teekay and Jim and thanks Cory for hosting and judging - and the coveted 2nd place :-P
Loch Ard is beautiful whatever the conditions or time of year but I will certainly be back in the Summer and Autumn too if possible as it's only 40 minutes or so away from us.
Tough call this week Cory - don't envy your position this week and totally get your headache trying to pick a top 3 - they are all great images in their own right.
Carolyn

:-) Once again well done everyone and i am glad i wasn't judging.I have no problem with the rule change as long as it doesn't penalise anyone using the older smaller camera types :) .
Look forward to the next one :-)
