“The name Canis lupus irremotus is dated and no longer considered scientifically valid. It is now considered part of the subspecies Canis lupus nubilus, which includes wolves formerly present in the U.S. Great Plains and most of the western U.S. and currently still present in northeastern Canada.

Moving the goal posts... That's not suspicious at all. -?

Yes, because science shouldn't change when it learns more, they should freeze it into place in stone, like a religion...

That's odd. A mechanical engineer turned comedian implied that I should face jail time if I question his "settled science" on climatology because "the debate is over."

We all know the Earth is really flat and all the planets and stars and sun all revolve around the disk of the Earth.

That's his problem. It's ironically the same problem as the anti-wolf people though, just on the other side of the spectrum: politicization of science.

Science first, policy second.

A shame I have to lock this thread.

You've moved far into politics.

Always question intensely those that will ignore or disavow science and knowledge. To turn ones back on what is in front of you requires worse than ignorance, which is easily overcome by education, it requires an agenda. Follow the money and self interest to the lie.

I can guarantee you, that no one is making money by re-introducing wolves into Yellowstone.
