QUOTED IMAGE

Why does your image look soft? Were the tripod legs in the water? Several months ago I took several pictures in a creek, and all came out soft, didn't realize they were soft until I was doing the PP. I never stopped to think the vibrations being introduced by the water hitting the tripod legs :(

CheleA, in my case, it was intentional. I added a "radiance" effect in Topaz Studio application, and while it definitely "softened" the image, I didn't mind it. To me, the effect adds to the mood of the shot, and I left it like that. Now, you are correct that there is always a risk of getting images soft when the tripod is in the sand. I normally wait until the tripod sinks a little, and eventually "settles" in the wet sand. I agree, it is always tricky, but the tripod will eventually stop moving, as long as the water/waves don't touch it.

Fair enough! I wish my soft shots had been intentional! I actually got some that would have come out nicely, if they had been sharp:(

took this a couple of years ago on a work trip to switzerland. Never thought id get to see and shoot the swiss alps for work, basically free :)

was going through the set last night and found this gem and realized I never touched it up or posted it. Probably one of my very least edited pictures, aside from a quick clean up and touchup, it is pretty much straight OOC.

This was taken last year from a horse show we were at. It was taken just after a storm went through.
