I know a lot of people who do not understand the importance of a good quality lens.
This 18-200 worked fine with the 7D and was OK for travelling light. With the 7D2 - not that much. For this occasion I was purposefully shooting with the crappy lens, just for fun. I have seen a photo series where a photographer used a 100+ year old camera and took pictures of a Formula One race. That reminded and inspired me that the photographer is more important then the gear.

Just got a burst of about 15 with good focus so I'm happy with the 7D2 performance ~

How to downgrade your 7D2 or in other words how to achieve a vintage(ish) look without plugins, filters, special post processing: use a crappy travel lens! :-D

I don't believe anyone said there was something wrong with them sogs, they just have a soft / vintage feel.

Who doesn't like baby birds? (robins). Mom just sat on the fence as I took this picture. They look almost ready to leave the nest.

7DII ~ 100-400II +1.4II
This young one hasn't left the nest yet.. As they get older they venture out to branches, eventually they will fall to a lower branch or ground trying to spread there wings. Mom and Dad leaves early in the morning, and only to return in the evening. This poor guy has to sit in the nest with the HOT Florida sun on him all day. Thus his mouth open and occasionally spreading his wings to cool

This lens of 18-200mm is our family travel lens and you don't need to change lens from wide to zoom, We only use that lens outdoor too and we love it.
