My dilemma ?
I bought the 70-200 f4 is model about a month ago. I haven't done much with this lens, but what i have shot has been good.

Now i have the chance of an immaculate 70-200 f2.8 is, boxed, paperwork etc etc for £20 more than i paid for the f4.
Is it worth swapping and buying the f2.8 is ?

Weight is not a problem as im usually shooting with my sigma 150-600 lens but fancy something in the mid range category.

Decision time ? Has anyone done this switch and regretted it.

Do the lenses have IS? It really depends on your shooting style. I have a 2.8 with IS because I have a lot of low light shoots and I need both the aperture and the IS. But other people who shoot other subjects are happy either with the f4 lens or 2.8 without IS. The f4 version with IS has excellent image quality and is satisfying for most.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes both of the lenses are the IS model.

I think i will buy the F2.8 IS and sell my F4 IS, after all its only £20 more money.

Looking through previous threads it looks like a step-up going to F2.8

It is a step-up but it is very strange that the price difference is only 20 GBP. Normally it should be hundreds.

I have been in touch with the seller and been given access to his flickr account, that confirms its as genuine as possible.
The date code shows November 2015 which ties in with his receipt.

I have made the payment and its been posted by next day delivery with a tracking code, which means it will be delivered by midday tomorrow.

Fortunately im off work

Fingers crossed i will be able to add a pic or two tomorrow at some point.

Im now a member of the club.
As with buying any new photography kit the forces of nature take control.

Right now we are being hit by storm Barbara, gale force winds and flooding forecast before the day is finished.

Anyway, a shot from indoors.
