I'm still debating on the second x-pro2 or adding a xt-2 to the bag - to replace the x-t1. I really love the x-pro2 but there things I like about the x-t2, like the bigger EVF & the dials [and ISO on the command dial] and then there is the 4k video too. Oh what to do...

I still catch myself chipping the back of my 35mm film camera from time to time, Phillip so I know what you mean about the tilt screen mishap. Normally I'd just hit the ground but it was wet out so better to stay clean for lunch I thought.

Recently shot pictures a friends kid for her 2nd birthday.

When photographing kids you can't put your camera down or use a slow shutter speed. Upside is they need zero retouching.

yes. I miss the tilt screen from my XT-1, but I still like the X-Pro 2 more. I sometimes forget and try clawing at the side of the screen trying to pull it out before I realize "oh yeah...duh".

Flip out screens are definitely handy, they really should be putting them on every camera at this point.

 The X-pro is a sexy camera though, I might add one to my gear bag next year.

We all had the day off today so hit the beach, mostly it was sunny, not hot but fine. The wind was a little strong at times and the light sand got everywhere, on the outside of the camera anyway.

Nice! I can imagine some forum members dying on the inside from seeing a camera on the beach.

lol, probably a few alright. Really the only thing to worry about is sea spray on the front element as it's a pain to clean off.

I've taken my XT-1 to the beach the last few years. This year will be the first time I take the X-Pro 2. I use clear UV filters on all of my lenses anyway, so not so much worried about sea spray. I'll just have to remember to only use my WR lenses though.

I wonder if the salty air had anything to do with the X-T1's skin starting to peel and deterioriate...

One thing I had a little difficulty cleaning on the X-PRO2 was the ISO dial. A bit crunchy afterwards but once lifted up and cleaned all was good again. The sand that day was very fine sand and it was quite windy too so that didn't help, least my ears are not finally clear of sand.

Shooting at the beach is the only time I ever feel the need to use UV filters for specifically this reason.

Took the 16mm f1.4 with me when I took the cat out for a walk (just in the yard). He got himself dinner and was looking to get more. The fiance was not happy that he got one bird but I'm glad that he at least ate it and didn't just kill it for sport. Still with the fiance being mad at both of us already I figured one was enough and we went in after he was done with dinner.

Shot with x-t2 and 16mm f1.4. Raw processed in camera, provia -2/3 Ev
