I am going to make or buy a floating photo hide for use in small lakes and streams. I am thinking about something as shown on the photo below, which are used with waders or drysuit standing in the middle. (photo and hide made by a friend),

Maybe a dinghy/boat will be better? I am just afraid of loosing the low angle.

Any suggestion´s? (No crocodiles or poisen animals, but cold icy water)
What do you use yourself for that kind of photography?

This is mine: http://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1467486

I'll be posting another update soon. My seamstress (mother in-law) has finished up the cover for the blind and I'm bringing it back home today.

I use a kayak that i put a Ghillie blind on. I also have a small Ghillie Blanket that goes over me and my camera when sitting in the kayak. Works really good.

It's a Jackson Kilroy. It's super stable. I can stand up in it if i wanted to. I also mounted a trolling motor on it.

I ended up buying a hide...! I just love the compact size, which make it possible for me to tranport it in my VW Polo and store it in a closet.

Do you need to have licence or other restrictions to be in the water in your country?

Not in public areas, unless it is special protected areas. Private areas you´ll have to ask for permision by the landowner....

Getting a close-up shot of a tufted duck with that perspective is quite a challenge. Congratulations!
