You've taken us on a journey beginning with the seedy underbelly and ending in the lap of luxury. ;-)a

Exactly what I was trying to convey. The Talpa Tavern actually had a two star Michelin rating up until they closed for business.

I wish I had been able to have a drink in every one of these places back in their day.

That wreckage of wistful dreams and stinging tears could just as easily fit in with the American rust belt.

Love these pics. This subject needs it's own thread: " Relics of yesteryear in New Mexico".

That evidence calls out for the renaming of the state to Not-Quite-So-New Mexico.

Liking these type of shots. I'll probably never find the time but, if I ever toured the U.S., I'd be stopping to take just this kind of thing.

Curious, why ISO 400?

Don't even begin to think I'm criticizing your images.
Just a natural curiosity.

It was handheld and I needed a decent shutter speed to counter slight wind movement in the ferns

Not sure if I've ever posted this one here before...

My wife's old car. She sold it because it was to hard for her to get in and out of. The floor sat pretty low to the ground. And the drivers seat was stuck in a semi reclined position. Also, those 2 little things on the front bumper are deer whistles and yes, they do work.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!
