I shot this the other night with my 8" Dob and Canon 6D. Just realized it's in B/W. Is that because there is no other 'glass' involved? Thanks :-)

How did you take it , was the camera attached PF the scope or did you have a lens on and just shot through the EP ? If your settings were for B&W there should be some color detected after edit unless you in some way removed the color during editing ? How doe the original look before any edits ?

Hey Celestron, thanks for responding. It was PF only, usual camera (color) settings. The original is pretty much the same, except, I brightened 2 of the moons. No color at all. Thanks again,
Jim...

Here is the original, just cropped because of the size. I shoot jpeg for the sky :-) Thanks,
Jim...

You should shoot RAW . Not much editing you can do with JPEG . That's probably why you lost any color .

I don't have that problem when I use an eye piece. That's what I don't understand. Thanks again,
Jim...

When I shoot Jupiter I shoot in RAW and I use a Tele-Extender with a 12mm EP and I manage to get color . But if there is color present your camera sensor is going to pick that up so you may have lost color in PP or your camera settings maybe in B&W ?

Here's a pic I shot using the 24mm EP, and it's in (some) color. Same camera, same settings, just 1 pic using an EP, and 1 pic without. Thanks,
Jim...
