Great shot, that viaduct opened in 1895, 122 years and still looks like new!, any chance of getting a shot of the Hogwarts express crossing? lol.

Except Hogwarts Express was filmed over Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland, built Concrete "Bob" McAlpine which was opened in 1901, Concrete Bob because it is constructed in mass concrete

Not Hogwarts, but a Stanier Black Five on Glenfinnan Viaduct, on it's return to Fort William

Absolutely a great shot, the viaduct reminds me of ancient roman water viaducts.

Trying to get a photo into our company's annual calendar, not have great luck, the locomotives are dirty. And I have to travel 20-30 minutes just to try to snag a window of opportunity, then 20-30 min back. :(

The 2nd shot is from my 150-600 cropped in quite a bit, the train was well off in the distance and in early morning with a ground fog.

Big deal!

Couple that with the fact that NS freight trains are not on a real schedule. They have planned departures, but still don't leave on time. So when you are parked on a busy overpass with the flashers on, you really don't want to be there very long. :)

I spent 3 hours Saturday morning starting at 5:45 on a different track waiting for a Roadrailer train. I wrote the train software the intermodal company uses, and have the system emailing me at 5am on the departure times, allowing me to guess roughly when it would pass the marker I was at. However, what I don't know is when NS sends that train on a different track. Exactly what happened Saturday. :(

I need to tap into the marker events and gain access to those on my phone.
