The 6D had almost the same layout as the 70D, just w/out a swivel screen. MUCH more aligned with the 70D than the t5i

I always forget that with the 60D, the XXD dropped the AF point selector button... but I thought 6D had the "D-Pad" instead of the dial?

Back looks exactly the same but instead of built in screen, it's got the new tilty screen. Dial with pad is the same

I'm not sure why people are complaining about not having a joystick for AF point selection. Index/thumb dials is way faster to get from one side to the other and stop on the point you want. I use that method for all of the cameras I've owned. The first 6d allows for center press of the dial/multi controller to return chosen AF point to center, I'm betting this one does too.

So does my 80D. I had no idea. Thank you so much, that is a great feature! :)

For those interested.....

The digital picture writes that it will have f8 AF

......While groups G and H have the least AF system support, things are better than they seem. Most of the lenses included in these groups are actually lens plus extender combinations with maximum apertures of f/8. That the 6D Mark II features AF with f/8 maximum aperture lens combinations is really big news; it is the first camera in this category to do so.

Especially valuable to wildlife photographers, an extender can be mounted behind a lens, creating an f/8 max aperture, and AF is retained. Depending on the combination, the vertically centered 27 AF points (category G) or the center AF point-only (category H) is activated. Again, see the owner's manual for the specific combinations supported.....
