The annual river run of spawning gaspereaux is just about over, and the eagles seem to sense that. They have congregated on the upper reaches of the Wallace River in Nova Scotia at low tide to make a feast. One eagle has a partially missing beak. No idea what happened to him or when, but he seems to be getting along OK.

Thanks Rog, you're very kind to comment. Haha yep, used up a good portion of a card. This run of fish happens once a year so I always try to be a spectator a few times during their 3-week run.

Some terrific images and eagle action. In Western Washington at Seabeck we have a similar fishrun and the eagles congregate in late June for a couple of weeks. My shots were not as good.

Good job on these images.

Thank you very much Jerry. It's the time of year in late June/early July and I look forward to every year. I have a perfect spot overlooking the river to get shots.

Thanks very much Tom. And yes he is. I don't know what happened to him but he seems to be doing OK.
