I believe its called Buteo jamaicensis, or what most of us call a red-tailed hawk :-)

an eagle and a pelican while fishing in northern mb, the eagle is cropped down quite a bit just didn't have the reach with my 70-200

Hard to believe this guy was in an egg three months ago. Also the first time using my X-T2 for a moving target.
