Interesting.... you saw the tail end of the train then?

No, no, this was the front of the train

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

It was 105 this past weekend, so I stayed home and went through some older RAW's I hadn't processed yet. Thinking of cooler times! I shot this across through my passenger window from the drivers side so I (or my camera) wouldn't get soaked.

I wasn't there so can't say but it looks like there are windows (really clean). I would think the wipers would bow into the cab if they weren't on the glass. That jagged look in the left front window appears to be a corner of a page on the dash inside the cab.

Here are a couple from last week north of the local BNSF yard. Second pic you can see the local switchers doing some switching in the small yard. Train in first pic is a SB intermodal and so is the train in second pic (North bound).

Too bad they did not paint the door to match the original paint job. Stands out like a sore thumb....sigh....:-(

They probably bounce cars and trucks off them at grade crossings occasionally.

Not a brilliant shot but just to test a new photo hosting site following the Photobucket fiasco.
