I find it incredibly hard to get halfway decent shots of birds. They hardly ever let me get close enough and creating a nice background (i.e. not completely cluttered with twigs) is almost impossible...

I am an amateur and used the same combination but it does not turn out to be this sharp. I use Aperture Priority Mode and Handheld chasing birds. Please advise.

Another one from my garden. I find bees particularly difficult!

I know this is not the most interesting image, but I like how I was able to save it. Without the the IQ this camera can bring it would have been unusable . All I did was lower thew exposure a lot, then lift shadows. I did add a little contrast and sharpening . If I used my 50D this would have been toast!

Hi

First post for me after just finding my way here while searching for 80D discussion. Here's a couple I've taken recently.

In my home.....not a restaurant ;-)a

lugged my 80D with 24Lmk2. I must say this combo simply works fantastic for many applications.

Not sure what the problem is - hard to tell without seeing a photo. Have you checked shutter speeds? Maybe AV selected a pretty slow shutter speed?
Could you post a photo?

I usually use my 7D2 for shooting my Sigma 150-600 C, but had it on my 80D today and ran across two different bunnies out in the yard.
