I remember we talked about both owning German Shepherds, so I feel bad for you and your family for this loss.
Dog are as close as family once you let them in your life.
I hope he left you with many wonderful memories and photo's

Balboa Park in San Diego has some pretty cool spots to take pictures, this is the botanic garden (I know, I don't to the flowers justice in this one), it is a pleasure to visit it in the morning, so calm.
