Has anybody had the new firmware/C-log hardware implementation installed yet?

So this doesn't use UHS-2 SD cards right? I mean it works, but any real benefit from using one? Maybe faster transfer to my computer?

Provided you have a USB3.0 reader, then yes, using a UHS II SD card is beneficial. This card has one of the top speeds when used with the 5D4 as well as being UHS II. However you pay for it. This is about 3x the cost of the UHS I cards, where the Sandisk Extreme is about the same speed.

UHS-1 cards and you want to stick to the sandisk extreme pro cards so it reads/writes at 95mb/s. You can shoot 4K video on this card as well.

Thanks. I have the Sandisk Extreme pro (95mb) which is fine. I was wondering if the Lexor 300mb/s would be worth a try for my impatience when transferring to my computer. It comes with a fast reader, but I think the ones I have would work too.

Hello everyone...need advise here I really like to buy a new camera body and I am leaning most to get the 5DmkIV...here is my question is it also good with wildlife/bird photography?

I shoot currently with 7DmkII and 7D, 90% wildlife photography and 10% family party, senior portraits and sometimes a 2nd shooter for weddings I also have a photobooth but mainly interested to use this 5DmkIV in wlidlife....I can not afford IDX mk II. I can get a use 1DXmk1 but I like the features of 5D more.

Thanks,
Peter

It works very well with wildlife/birds, you just need to make sure you have a bit more optical reach, or use a 1.4x TC. You can always crop out 1.6 from your images, and resize up, but the end result will be a bit subpar to what the 7D2 is getting.

I went down the same path. I seldom use my 7D2 now.
