Thank you. Good idea on lowering my level. I was on a slope where it meets the water, but probably could have moved down waterline a little to get a little lower to the water. I've never checked the micro adjustment on the 300. I may have cropped them too close too. Or a combination of both. Thanks for the ideas.

I am a dad that likes taking photos of my boys playing sports...and then other parents wanted some of their kids and so on. Please let me know what you think and what I could have done different. I love taking photos of sports, but want to get better..

If I am not mistaken, it is called Pacific Golden-Plover. She was stretching her wings which gave the shot somewhat of an odd look.

Not my best, but this was a catch for me - first sighting of an Eastern Kingbird. Seemed very skittish.
Photo is cropped rather heavily, only had my 200mm to work with, so pardon the quality.

It was only until I saw the parent of this juvenile before I realised what it was.

I seem to see the Great Spotted Woodpecker where ever I go. Only hope one day to see a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Although similar in appearance the latter is half the size to that of the Great Spotted.
