I took this photo in the darkest of forests, under the shade of the tree canopy. The light could only break through in a few places and in the few places it did break through the birds were attracted to the light. This spotted flycatcher was enjoying the warm light for a good few minutes.

Bad luck, time to invest in a UPS?

I hear ya Lester.. My iMac was plugged into a APC ups batt backup. My buddy was unplugging his go pro batt's and pulled my plug out by mistake. I was on the way out so I never restarted.. My mistake for sure. Of course I buried his A@@ in the blue berry field for the bears to feast on just for unplugging me in the first place. lol I was in my trailer at the time.

An edit, cropped differently, of the last shot I posted on this thread. Like this one better.

Here's some head-on shots.. the Red Bellied looks really ragged, as though he hasn't slept in forever.

I see this little guy every time I go to Blackwater NWR. I'm going to keep trying for a better photo of him.

I'm sitting at the beach this afternoon, catching up on the January/February issue of "Canadian Geographic", and I come across a picture of two photographers in an article about Algonquin Park.
Any guesses as to who it is ? Hint : he's on here a lot ! :-)

Wow, I wouldn't have any idea but I did meet a guy there last fall that had Grey Jays perched on his shoulder and Red Foxes following him around, may be the same fella!:-)
