Three Green Sandpiper, slightly larger than the Common Sandpiper and you can see the missing white shoulder which mostly distinguishes the two breeds.

Not weather for a long trip today, so some of the local birds had to stand model for a photo, when the sun suddenly broke through the clouds....

Not the sharpest of photo's but a chance shot, Hand held (a lucky shot), I was in a hide watching birds when I could hear a sound behind me, it was dark. I turned to see this Swallow giving me the evil eye sitting on the door about 5 metres away watching me. Very unusual, it just did not move. I realised after a few minutes after I moved that just above my head in the rafters was a swallow nest with 3 chicks in which were quickly fed.
