Did a quick shoot for a friend. Criticism always appreciated. Camera is a Canon 6d with 50mm and 200mm lenses.

Too dark and I don't see enough of the car.

Remember what I said in "Tips"?

PhotosGuy wrote in post #519182 (external link)
As in anything else, there's no one way to take a good looking shot of a car. Some guys like grungy garage pics. Others put it in 20% of the frame in what looks more like a landscape shot. Neither are "Wrong" if you get the results that you wanted, but I'd still like to see one shot in a series that makes the car/bike/etc. look as good as possible.

Looks awesome. I like the menacing feel to the images.

I feel like they should all be color or all be b/w, though. First pic doesn't belong.

Needs more lighting, such a beautiful car in general and the images are hiding it :(

I like the feel of the shoot. An image or two where you could see the profile and front 3/4 shot would be great to add to this set, but I like the feeling. It's a solid set of complimentary shots to add to a series.

And it's a personal preference but I can't stand the double exposure/flare in photos (image 3 and 4 full size)

Do you think OP didn't go into this shoot trying to make it look as good as possible? Who starts a shoot going "I'm just gonna take bad photos".... not everyone likes images cropped in too tight with zero creative license taken.

I think these photos look pretty cool. The contrast is higher than I would have liked but I definitely enjoyed looking at these.

The lens refractions are an awesome touch.

Thanks for all the input everyone. This is a local car that's been shot by a few photographers already (including me last year). The owner is a friend and this shoot was for fun and to do something different than what was done before. We played around with shadows and flares and generally tested some new ideas. I know it's not for everyone and I appreciate all criticism. It's what makes us improve and try new things.

I like what you've done here. Very stylistic and not same 'ole stuff we see every day. Although, I do agree a full 3/4 or profile shot would complete the set. Nice job.
